Michael Owen is tipping Sunday’s clash between Liverpool and Aston Villa to be an open game and is expecting to see both teams score.

The Reds head into their trip to Villa Park looking to return to winning ways after the disappointment of their FA Cup exit at the hands of West Ham United at Upton Park in midweek.

Liverpool have struggled to find consistent form under Jurgen Klopp since the German’s appointment as Brendan Rodgers’ successor at Anfield back in October.

The Reds have only won three of their last 10 Premier League games as they prepare to take on bottom-of-the-table Villa.

The Villians, meanwhile, face a serious uphill battle to avoid relegation, with the Birmingham outfit having only won two of their last 10 top flight outings.

Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Owen is expecting Sunday’s game to provide plenty of goals.

Writing in his blog for Bet Victor, Owen said: “Liverpool are beginning to get some of their better players back from injury but they remain fragile defensively and I can see Villa, fighting for their Premier League survival, finding the back of the Reds’ net.
