Daniel Agger has sent a good luck message to his former Liverpool team-mates ahead of Sunday’s League Cup final.

The Reds face Manchester City in the Wembley showpiece as Jurgen Klopp looks to secure the first piece of silverware of his reign at Anfield.

Denmark international Agger was part of Kenny Dalglish’s side that won the League Cup in 2012 after a penalty shootout victory over Cardiff City.

The Brondby defender took to Twitter ahead of Sunday’s final to issue a message of support for his former employers.

Liverpool are looking to win the League Cup for a record ninth time at Wembley on Sunday.
