Will Keane is in an upbeat mood despite his Manchester United injury setback
Will Keane has taken to social media to insist that he will do his best to get back on the pitch as soon as possible after he suffered an injury during Manchester United’s 3-0 win over Shrewsbury Town on Monday night.
The striker was forced off late on after coming on as a substitute during the FA Cup fifth-round clash, as the Red Devils secured victory to book their place in the quarter-finals of the competition against West Ham United.
Keane joins United’s lengthy injury list, which currently includes the likes of Wayne Rooney, David De Gea, Marcos Rojo and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
However, the forward seemed to be in an upbeat mood as he delivered an update about his situation on Instagram on Tuesday afternoon.
Keane uploaded the picture above onto the photo-sharing app and wrote: “Great win and performance by the team last night. Absolutely gutted I got injured.
“I’ll be working hard to make sure I’m back out there as soon as possible! #Mufc”
United are currently gearing up for their Europa League last-32 second-leg clash with FC Midtjylland on Thursday night, before hosting Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.
