Piers Morgan suggests former Man United man could manage Arsenal

Piers Morgan is a fan of Valencia boss Gary Neville...

Piers Morgan has taken to social media to suggest that Arsenal should consider appointing Gary Neville as Arsene Wenger’s successor at Emirates Stadium.

The former Manchester United defender has endured a difficult start to life in charge of Spanish side Valencia, with Neville yet to see his side win in nine league games.

Morgan has been one of Wenger’s loudest critics in recent seasons following Arsenal’s failure to win the Premier League title since 2004.

The Frenchman has led the north London club to Champions League qualification every season during his spell in charge of the Gunners and his side have won the FA Cup for the last two years running.

But Morgan appeared to suggest that he would welcome Neville at Emirates Stadium as a potential successor to Wenger as he replied to comments from fans on the social network.

Morgan tweeted:
