Rio Ferdinand blasts Man United on Twitter after Danny Welbeck’s Arsenal winner
Rio Ferdinand admits his frustration at Manchester United's decision to sell Danny Welbeck to Arsenal...
Rio Ferdinand has taken to social media to reveal his frustration after Danny Welbeck came off the bench to score Arsenal’s winner in their dramatic 2-1 victory over Leicester City on Sunday.
The England striker had not featured for the north London side all season due to a knee injury but netted a stoppage-time header to hand Arsenal all three points against the Foxes and move them to within two points of the Premier League leaders.
Manchester United have come in for plenty of criticism for their lack of attacking intent this season, with Louis van Gaal watching his side slump to a disappointing 2-1 loss to Sunderland on Saturday.
And former United defender Ferdinand admitted that he is still baffled by Van Gaal’s decision to sell Welbeck to Arsenal following his arrival at the club.
Ferdinand tweeted after Welbeck’s winner:
Welbeck……..i aint even going to start…..happy for Welbz but how @manutd let him go🙈

Welbeck could come up against his former club when Arsenal take on United at Old Trafford on 28 February.
