Rio Ferdinand reacts to Man United’s 3-2 win over Arsenal on Twitter
Rio Ferdinand has his say after Manchester United's 3-2 win over Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday
Rio Ferdinand has taken to social media to reveal his surprise at seeing Manchester United’s youngsters shine through under Louis van Gaal after their 3-2 win over Arsenal on Sunday.
Marcus Rashford scored twice on his Premier League debut as the teenager continued his fine form following his brace in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Injuries have also forced Van Gaal to call on the likes of 18-year-old Timothy Fosu-Mensah and fellow youngster James Weir in recent games.
And former United defender Ferdinand is clearly happy about how some of the Red Devils’ younger players are being given a chance.
Ferdinand tweeted on Sunday afternoon:
LVG spent 250m….and the kids are keeping him afloat…different.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are third and five points adrift of leaders Leicester City ahead of their clash with Swansea on Wednesday night.
