Wayne Rooney hasn’t enjoyed the greatest of Premier League seasons but the Manchester United skipper can take solace from his assist record.

The Red Devils captain teed up Anthony Martial for United’s second at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon before Rooney sealed a 3-0 win against Stoke City.

The 30-year-old’s assist for Martial was his 94th in the Premier League which drew the England international level with Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp in the all-time list.

However, Rooney still has some work to do to catch former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard and his United assistant manager Ryan Giggs.

The former Everton striker has scored seven times and has made four assists in 21 Premier League appearances so far this season.
