Thierry Henry: What I love about Tottenham star Dele Alli
Thierry Henry talks up the impact Dele Alli has had at Tottenham this season
Thierry Henry has heaped praise on Dele Alli and admits that he is a big fan of the Tottenham Hotspur starlet.
The teenager has been one of the Premier League’s star performers this term and scored a contender for goal of the season against Crystal Palace last month.
Alli has been a regular fixture in the Spurs first team this season and has scored seven goals and made five assists in 23 Premier League games for the north London side.
Former Arsenal striker Henry picked Alli in his team of the season so far and explained just why he is such a keen admirer of the Spurs star.
Henry told Sky Sports: “Dele Alli can score and see a pass but what I love about him – maybe it’s because he played in League One with MK Dons – is that he can also put a tackle in.
“He works hard, he’s in your face sometimes. I like that.”
Alli will be expecting to feature when Tottenham travel to Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon as they bid to keep up their title challenge.
The Lilywhites are currently second in the Premier League table and five points behind leaders Leicester City.
