Lamela, Dembele and more: Tottenham stars react to Watford win on social media

A host of Tottenham's players took to social media after their 1-0 win over Watford moved them up to second

Kieran Trippier’s first goal for Tottenham earned his side a 1-0 victory over Watford and moved them up to second place in the Premier League table on Saturday.

The former Burnley full-back tapped home substitute Dele Alli’s low cross in the 64th minute to wrap up a dominant win for Spurs in front of their home fans at White Hart Lane.

The result left the north London side flying high in second place in the table and just five points behind leaders Leicester City, who beat Manchester City 3-1 at Etihad Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.

The victory has further underlined Tottenham’s status as genuine title contenders.

Their title hopes will be given another stern test when they travel to Manchester City next weekend in their next Premier League game.
