Andres Iniesta: This will be Arsenal’s danger man against Barcelona
Andres Iniesta is wary of the threat posed by Alexis Sanchez ahead of Barcelona v Arsenal on Wednesday
Andres Iniesta has warned his Barcelona team-mates that they will have to be at their best to stop Alexis Sanchez when Arsenal travel to Camp Nou on Wednesday night.
The Gunners head to Spain looking to overturn their 2-0 first-leg deficit and reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Sanchez played for Barcelona before joining Arsenal from the Spanish side back in the summer of 2014.
And Barcelona midfielder believes that the Chile international will pose the biggest threat for the visitors on Wednesday.
Iniesta is quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror: “Arsenal have a big squad but, because of his history with Barcelona, Alexis is the key man we have to look out for.
“He’s a big footballer and showed his level when he played for Barca. But it’s not easy at this club to be first-choice striker. He has a lot of quality and can create problems.
“I’m convinced our fans will give him a great reception. But from minute one on the pitch, it will be different. That’s logical.”
The Gunners have a mountain to climb heading into the return leg after Lionel Messi’s late double in the first leg gave Barcelona a 2-0 victory in north London – the fourth year in a row Arsenal have lost at home in the round of 16 first leg.
