Anthony Martial matched Cristiano Ronaldo’s feat of scoring in five different competitions for Manchester United this season after he netted against Liverpool in the Europa League this month.

Former Red Devils star Ronaldo famously scored in the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League and Club World Cup in the 2008-09 season for United under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Martial has been a regular fixture in the United first team since arriving at the club in a big-money deal from Monaco in the summer transfer window.

And by netting against Liverpool in the Europa League, the French striker ensured that he has scored in five different competitions for Louis van Gaal’s men.

Martial scored against Liverpool in the Premier League in September, and also netted against Ipswich Town in the League Cup.
