Arsene Wenger makes claim about Arsenal players ahead of Hull trip
Arsene Wenger says Arsenal will head to Hull City with a different mentality
Arsene Wenger has claimed that his players are feeling “different” after their hard-fought 2-2 draw with Tottenham in the north London derby on Saturday afternoon.
The north London side have come in for plenty of criticism in recent days following a run of disappointing result.
Their Champions League loss to Barcelona was compounded by defeats at the hands of Manchester United and Swansea City in the Premier League to severely dent the Gunners’ top-flight title hopes.
Wenger revealed that his players were “really down” after their 2-1 loss to the Swans at The Emirates last week, but Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham has helped to galvanise his squad ahead of their FA Cup replay clash at Hull on Tuesday night.
Speaking at a news conference on Monday morning, Wenger said: “Yes, they will feel different.
“We feel we had the right response after going down to 10 men. We were really down after Swansea because that was a terrible night for us. We responded very well, showing this group is united.”
