Petr Cech and Hector Bellerin have both taken to social media to praise Arsenal’s resilience after the 10-man Gunners came from a goal down to earn a 2-2 draw with Tottenham in Saturday’s thrilling north London derby.
The Gunners took the lead in the 39th minute at White Hart Lane when Aaron Ramsey flicked in Hector Bellrin’s low pass.
Arsenal were reduced to 10 men when Francis Coquelin was shown a second yellow card in the 55th minute, and Spurs equalised moments later through Toby Alderweireld.
Harry Kane’s superb strike in the 62nd minute handed the home side the lead.
But Arsenal refused to give in and battled back to earn a point after Alexis Sanchez fired in from Hector Bellerin’s through-ball.
Cech, who missed the game due to a muscular injury, was quick to take to Twitter after the game.
He tweeted:
Point is a point ! Great spirit to come back ! https://t.co/O1mTxDUzE1

Disappointing not to get the win today. Great character from the boys to come from behind with 10 men! #COYG pic.twitter.com/Ws2faN6PaB
