Charlie Adam has suggested that Tottenham could struggle to keep hold of Mauricio Pochettino in the summer.

Spurs have been one of the Premier League’s most consistent teams this season and currently sit just two points behind leaders Leicester City heading into the final 11 games of the campaign.

Pochettino’s side are well on course to secure Champions League qualification this season and are in with a great chance of winning the Premier League title.

However, Stoke City midfielder Adam feels that the north London side could well struggle to keep Pochettino at the club beyond this season following Spurs’ sparkling form this term.

Speaking to BBC Sport, Adam said: “If they do get into the Champions League, that’s a success, but will he be there next summer?

“Will someone else come and take him?

“That’s the big decision for Daniel Levy – can he keep hold of him if one of the so-called bigger ones come and take him?”
