Christian Eriksen issues Tottenham rallying cry ahead of Arsenal clash

Christian Eriksen looks ahead towards a crunch Premier League week for Tottenham Hotspur

Christian Eriksen has revealed his excitement ahead of what could end up being a pivotal race for Tottenham in the race for the Premier League title.

Spurs underlined their status as genuine contenders for the Premier League title this season by coming from a goal down to beat Swansea City 2-1 at White Hart Lane on Sunday to keep to within two points of leaders Leicester.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men are currently gearing up for their trip to West Ham United on Wednesday night, before turning their attentions towards their crunch north London derby clash with Arsenal at White Hart Lane on Saturday lunchtime.

And Eriksen admits that he and his Tottenham team-mates are excited about the forthcoming games.

Speaking to Tottenham’s website after Sunday’s win, Eriksen said: “These are two really intense, exciting games.

“Hopefully at the end of the week we’ll be in a good position.

“We turned a corner today (Sunday) and we know we have the confidence going into these two games. We know it means a lot to the fans.”
