Daley Blind assesses Memphis Depay's impact at Manchester United this season
Daley Blind is backing Memphis Depay to prove his worth to Manchester United before the end of the season.
The Netherlands international has endured a stuttering start to life at Old Trafford following his big-money transfer to the club from PSV Eindhoven last summer.
Depay has come in for criticism for his below par displays this season but has shown significant signs of improvement in recent games.
And his Netherlands team-mate Blind is expecting to further improvement from the winger in the closing stages of the 2015-16 campaign.
Speaking to United Review about Depay ahead of Wednesday’s game with Watford, Blind said: “I think it’s personal in terms of how much time you need to adapt as a player.
“Each player is different. I hope he is doing well in the next games and continuing to show the same form.
“I think the [Midtjylland] right full-back wasn’t happy that night! Like I said after the game, he [Depay] works so hard and I know how badly he wants it and how much he wants to show himself.

Depay will be hoping to feature as Manchester United now turn their attentions towards their Premier League trip to West Bromwich Albion on Sunday afternoon.
Louis van Gaal’s side, who finished fourth in the Premier League last season, will take on Liverpool in the last 16 of the Europa League later this month.
