Dejan Lovren has welcomed Liverpool’s Europa League quarter-final draw which pitted Jurgen Klopp’s side against former club Borussia Dortmund.

The Reds booked their place in Friday’s Europa League last-eight draw thanks to a 3-1 aggregate win against Manchester United over two legs.

Liverpool drew 1-1 with the Red Devils at Old Trafford on Thursday night after Philippe Coutinho levelled following Anthony Martial’s opener.

Dortmund, meanwhile, were 5-0 aggregate winners against Liverpool’s Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Klopp stood down as the Bundesliga side’s manager last summer after an eight-year spell in charge of Dortmund.

Liverpool defender Lovren, who helped the Reds get past United, was quick to take to Twitter following Friday’s Europa League draw.

Lovren has made 18 Premier League games in an injury-hit season for the Croatia international so far this season.
