Eden Hazard has hinted that he is planning to stay at Chelsea beyond this season following the recent speculation surrounding the playmaker.

The Belgium international has been heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge during the course of the season following Chelsea’s below-par form.

Real Madrid have been touted as a possible destination for the playmaker, while Hazard fuelled talk of a Chelsea exit last month by admitting that it would be hard to turn down a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.

However, the 25-year-old now appears to have underlined his intentions to stay at Chelsea beyond the summer in a frank interview ahead of Saturday’s clash with Stoke City.

“The future is always the same and that is to win trophies, next season, in two and three years,” Hazard told Chelsea TV.

“You want to win the games, to win trophies. [To do that] you have to be ready because all the teams want to beat Chelsea.

“We are ready for that. We have good players in the team and I hope we can win more trophies.

“I am always happy here. Even if I play badly, I’m happy. I know this is football but I try to keep a smile on my face every time.”

Hazard will be expecting to feature when Chelsea host Stoke in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
