Paul Merson states his prediction for Everton v Chelsea

Paul Merson is tipping Everton to pile yet more misery on Chelsea by knocking the Blues out of the FA Cup on Saturday evening.

Guus Hiddink’s men head to Goodison Park looking to return to winning ways after the disappointment of their 2-1 defeat by Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

The FA Cup represents Chelsea’s last remaining hope of winning a trophy this season after a campaign to forget for the west London club.

However, former Arsenal man Merson is expecting to see Chelsea dumped out of the competition by the Toffees on Merseyside on Saturday evening.

Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ, Merson said:

Chelsea are currently languishing in 10th place in the Premier League table after a disastrous start to their title defence led to Jose Mourinho’s sacking back in December.

The Blues, who won the title and League Cup last season, are a staggering 20 points behind leaders Leicester City.
