Gary Lineker mocks Man United and Man City after derby

Gary Lineker tweets his thoughts after Manchester United's 1-0 win over Manchester City

Gary Lineker has taken to social media to poke fun at Manchester United and Manchester City after Sunday’s derby win for the Red Devils.

The former Leicester City striker is clearly thrilled to see the Foxes lead the way at the top of the Premier League table heading into the closing stages of the season.

And the ex-England international could not help but aim a thinly veiled dig at both City and United’s current Premier League positions after the final whistle at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Lineker tweeted:

Teeanger Marcus Rashford netted the only goal of the game in the 15th minute at Etihad Stadium as he coolly slotted home to put his side ahead.

And the Red Devils hung on to claim the victory and give their top-four hopes a significant boost.

The result left Manchester United in sixth place in the Premier League table and just one point behind City heading into the final eight games of the season.
