Gary Lineker tweets his verdict after Man United fight back against West Ham

Gary Linker reflects on Manchester United's 1-1 draw with West Ham in the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon

Gary Lineker has taken to social media to single out Anthony Martial for special praise after the French striker netted Manchester United’s equaliser to earn an FA Cup quarter-final replay against West Ham.

The Red Devils fell behind in the quarter-final clash at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon when Dimitri Payet’s brilliant free-kick beat David De Gea.

However, Martial hauled United back into the tie when he turned home at the back post to earn the Red Devils a 1-1 draw and a replay at Upton Park for a place in a Wembley semi-final.

The French forward has earned plenty of new admirers for his impressive displays for United this season since his arrival at the club from Monaco in the summer transfer window.

And former England striker Lineker feels that Martial’s emergence is one of the few positives United can take from an otherwise underwhelming season under Louis van Gaal.

Lineker tweeted on Sunday afternoon:
