Glenn Hoddle comments on Arsenal and Leicester’s wins
Glenn Hoddle reacts on Twitter to Arsenal and Leicester's Premier League wins on Saturday
Glenn Hoddle reserved special praise for Leicester City after the Foxes’ 1-0 win at Crystal Palace took them a step closer towards winning the Premier League title.
Earlier in the day, goals from Danny Welbeck and Alex Iwobi handed Arsenal a 2-0 win at Everton to keep the Gunners in the hunt for their first top-flight title since 2004.
However, Claudio Ranieri’s men extended their lead over the Gunners back to 11 points with a hard-fought victory at Selhurst Park, thanks to Riyad Mahrez’s first-half goal.
The result leaves Arsenal third – but the Gunners can close the gap down to eight points if they win their game in hand.
Former Tottenham manager Hoddle was thoroughly impressed by what he saw from both Arsenal and Leicester in the Premier League on Saturday.
Hoddle tweeted on Saturday evening:
Credit to Leicester after Arsenals very good win at Everton , they showed great Character , nerve and ability to win at Palace. 😎
