Glenn Hoddle says Guus Hiddink’s relaxed manner has spread through the Chelsea squad ahead of Wednesday night’s clash against Paris Saint-Germain.

The Blues manager is unbeaten in domestic competitions since Jose Mourinho was sacked by the defending Premier League champions.

Hoddle’s only defeat was a 2-1 loss to PSG in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash in the French capital last month.

Chelsea had lost nine Premier League games under Mourinho before Hiddink’s arrival, and the Blues have only lost to PSG in the Dutchman’s 17 games in charge.

Former Chelsea manager Hoddle explained the secret behind Hiddink’s success at Stamford Bridge.

“Since Guus Hiddink has come in to Chelsea, the results have been marvelous,” Hoddle told Unibet.

“He is such a relaxed guy, I think that has gone through to the team.

“There were so many things on and off the pitch that weren’t happening under Mourinho. Hiddink has just calmed them down. I know for a fact that he has spoken to them one on one.”

Enhanced odds: Get 8/1 on Chelsea to beat PSG

The west Londoners had won their last three league fixtures prior to Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Stoke – their best top-flight run since they posted four consecutive victories in March/April 2015.
