Harry Kane issues Tottenham rallying cry ahead of Arsenal showdown
Harry Kane backs Tottenham to bounce back by beating Arsenal at White Hart Lane on Saturday
Harry Kane has insisted that Tottenham’s confidence has not been dented by their Premier League defeat by West Ham United on Wednesday night.
The north London side missed the chance to move top of the Premier League table as they were beaten by the Hammers at Upton Park.
The defeat left Spurs in second place in the Premier League table and three points behind leaders Leicester City heading into the final 10 games of the season.
The Lilywhites do not have long to dust themselves down as they prepare to welcome bitter local rivals Arsenal to White Hart Lane on Saturday lunchtime.
And Kane insists that Mauricio Pochettino’s men are confident of getting their title bid back on track when they host the Gunners this weekend.
Kane is quoted as saying by Sky Sports: “There’s a long way to go in the league and we’re staying focused.
“Of course we have enough energy for the rest of the season. We’re one of the fittest teams in the league, so if anyone can cope with it, we can.
“It’s another big derby game on Saturday and we’re looking forward to it. We’ve been good at home in recent times so we’ve just got to keep playing the way we have.
“We’re confident. We feel we can beat anyone in the league. We’ve just got to go out and put in a better performance than tonight.”
