Harry Redknapp reacts to Arsenal’s 2-2 draw at Tottenham
Harry Redknapp has his say after Arsenal come from behind to earn a 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane
Harry Redknapp admitted that Arsenal responded in impressive fashion after being reduced to 10 men during the Gunners’ 2-2 draw at Tottenham on Saturday.
Arsene Wenger watched his side take the lead in the 39th minute when Aaron Ramsey’s flick beat Hugo Lloris at White Hart Lane.
However, the Gunners were reduced to 10 men when Francis Coquelin was sent off for a second booking in the 55th minute.
Tottenham equalised moments later when Toby Alderweireld fired home, and Harry Kane’s superb strike in the 62nd minute handed the home side the lead.
However, Arsenal battle back and earned a point after Alexis Sanchez fired in from Hector Bellerin’s through-ball.
Speaking on BT Sport after the final whistle, Redknapp said: “When Arsenal went down to 10 men, you felt the momentum had swung Tottenham’s way. They were 2-1 up and you thought, ‘game over’.
“To be fair to Arsenal, they kept going and they got that opportunity and they took it.”
