Ian Wright makes prediction about Tottenham striker Harry Kane

Ian Wright believes Tottenham striker Harry Kane will finish as the top goal-scorer in the Premier League

Ian Wright has backed Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane to finish as the Premier League’s top goal-scorer this season.

The England international scored either side of half-time on Sunday afternoon as Spurs were 2-0 winners against Premier League strugglers Aston Villa at Villa Park.

Kane has scored 19 goals in 30 Premier League appearances for the north London side so far this season after he initially made a slow start to the 2015/16 campaign.

Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has also netted 19 league goals, while Romelu Lukaku scored 18 times for Everton.

Speaking on BBC Radio Five Live on Sunday evening, Arsenal striker Wright begrudgingly backed Kane to finish as the Premier League’s top scorer.

“Jamie Vardy and Harry Kane have 19. Romelu Lukaku has 18. I’ll probably go with… Kane,” Wright said.
