Ian Wright: What I like about this Tottenham striker
Ian Wright praises Harry Kane's willingness to shoot on sight after Tottenham's 2-2 draw with Arsenal
Ian Wright says he is a big fan of Harry Kane after Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal in Saturday’s north London derby.
Kane scored a brilliant goal in the second half to give Tottenham a 2-1 lead after Toby Alderweireld cancelled out Aaron Ramsey’s first-half opener at White Hart Lane.
Alexis Sanchez denied Tottenham a huge win the title race with a 74th-minute equaliser to salvage a point for 10-man Arsenal after Francis Coquelin’s sending off.
Speaking to BT Sport following Saturday’s stalemate, former Arsenal striker Wright couldn’t resist heaping praise on Kane despite the England internatonal’s goal against Arsene Wenger’s side.
“What I like about Harry Kane is that he shoots from everywhere,” Wright said.
“As soon as he gets a sight on the goal, he shoots from anywhere. I expect to see loads more goals like that from Kane.”
Kane has scored 17 times in 29 Premier League games for Tottenham in the 2015/16 season.
Spurs are five points behind leaders Leicester City after their 2-2 draw with bitter rivals Arsenal.
However, Mauricio Pochettino’s side are three points clear of Arsenal in the title race.
