Jamie Carragher tweets his thoughts after Liverpool knock Manchester United out of the Europa League at Old Trafford
Jamie Carragher has taken to social media to reveal his delight at seeing Liverpool book their place in the Europa League quarter-finals at the expense of Manchester United on Thursday night.
With the Reds leading 2-0 from their impressive first leg win at Anfield last week, Jurgen Klopp’s men fell behind in the return leg at Old Trafford when Anthony Martial confidently dispatched his first-half penalty.

However, Philippe Coutinho all but ended United’s hopes of reaching the last eight after his brilliant run was capped by a dinked finish over David De Gea on the stroke of half-time.
That goal left United needing to score three times in the second half to progress, but the Red Devils failed to break down the visitors after the break.
Carragher was thrilled by the performance from the Reds and could not hide his delight as he took to Twitter after the game.
The former Liverpool defender tweeted:
To the whole squad & staff, thank you!

Sakho immense, Lovren excellent, keep going like that & they may save Klopp a few bob in the summer.
