Jurgen Klopp has warned Manchester United that Liverpool are in their best moment since he took charge at Anfield.

The Merseyside outfit host the Red Devils for the first time in Europe on Thursday night in the first leg of their Europa League last-16 draw.

This is the best moment we’ve had here

Klopp lost his first encounter with United as Liverpool manager in January after Wayne Rooney scored a late winner in a 1-0 victory at Anfield.

However, the former Borussia Dortmund boss believes his Liverpool squad is in its best shape since he succeeded Brendan Rodgers in October.

“We are in a completely different situation (from the last game against Manchester United). We have more players available. This is the best moment we’ve had here. We have to use this,” Klopp told his pre-match media conference.

Liverpool are unbeaten in eight European games this season, and have not lost in six Uefa home matches.

They have not lost in eight Europa League home fixtures since a 3-2 defeat by Udinese Calcio in the 2012-13 group stage.

United’s record in six Europa League matches to date is W2 D0 L4 (W1 D0 L2 at home – W1 D0 L2 away).
