Liverpool in talks to sign Belgian midfielder – report

Liverpool have made contact with Anderlecht over the availability of Samuel Bastien, say reports

Liverpool have enquired about the availability of Anderlecht midfielder Samuel Bastien ahead of a possible summer transfer, according to reports.

The Reds are expected to be one of the Premier League’s busiest clubs during the summer transfer window as Jurgen Klopp looks to stamp his authority at Anfield ahead of his first full season in charge on Merseyside.

The 19-year-old Bastien is currently on loan to Avellino in Serie B and has made 24 appearances so far this season in the league.

Now, the Daily Express is reporting that Liverpool are among the clubs keen on signing the highly-rated teenager, and have recently made contact with the player’s parent club about the possibility of signing him this summer.

The same report also claims that Liverpool made a move to sign the midfielder last summer, that the player opted for a loan move to the Italian club.
