Martin Keown predicts where Tottenham will finish this season
Martin Keown admits that Tottenham are looking like serious contenders for the Premier League title
Martin Keown believes that Tottenham Hotspur will win the Premier League ahead of Leicester City this season.
Spurs have earned plenty of new admirers for their impressive form this season and currently sit second in the table and five points behind leaders Leicester heading into this weekend’s clash with Bournemouth at White Hart Lane.
Leicester are currently the favourites to win the title and are a staggering 11 points ahead of third-placed Arsenal.
However, former Arsenal defender Keown feels that Spurs are better placed to win the title as he warned Leicester of the tests they will face in the coming weeks.
Writing in his column for the Daily Mail, Keown said: “Even though a lot of people seem to think Leicester have got one hand on the trophy, I don’t think they will win the league.
“I think Tottenham will and I feel that more strongly now than I have done at any point this season.”
He continued: “I see a Tottenham team in the distance with a good group of young players, all eager and playing together with a home game against Bournemouth while Leicester have a tricky away fixture at Crystal Palace – that will be a tough game and I can almost see Alan Pardew celebrating now like only he can.
“People say the title is Leicester’s to lose but it only just begins now.”
