Martin Keown believes Chelsea can still finish in the top four this season
Martin Keown believes Chelsea are capable of finishing in the Premier League top four.
The west London side were 2-1 winners against Norwich City in the Premier League on Tuesday night after goals from Diego Costa and Kenedy.
Chelsea moved to within eight points of fourth-placed Manchester City after the Citizens lost 3-0 at Liverpool on Wednesday night.
Guus Hiddink is unbeaten in domestic competitions since the Dutchman took over the reins of the Premier League champions in December from Jose Mourinho.
Former Arsenal defender Keown believes Chelsea are capable of securing a spot in next season’s Champions League under Hiddink.
“I think anything is possible with the group of players they’ve got,” Keown told Daily Mail.
“They took forever to get going but they showed good character to come from behind and win against Southampton at the weekend. Earlier in the season that’s exactly the type of game they might have lost.”
Chelsea host Stoke City in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge in their next game on Saturday afternoon.
The west London side host Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 clash on Wednesday night.
