Matt Holland states prediction for Crystal Palace v Liverpool
Matt Holland believes Liverpool will drop point against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon
Matt Holland believes Liverpool will drop points at Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds were impressive 3-0 winners against Manchester City at Anfield on Wednesday night as Jurgen Klopp’s side exacted revenge for their League Cup final defeat.
Adam Lallana broke the deadlock with a brilliant long-range strike and former City midfielder James Milner added a second before half-time.
Roberto Firmino completed the rout of Manuel Pellegrini’s side to give Liverpool’s top-four bid a boost as Klopp’s side moved to within six points of the Eastlands outfit.
Former Republic of Ireland midfielder Holland reckons Palace can upset Liverpool in south-east London in Sunday’s early kick-off.
“Liverpool have been infuriating this season,” Holland told Marathon Bet.
“Much like when back in Germany, Klopp’s side play better against the big teams than the ones they should beat week-in, week-out.
“If Milner scores they won’t get beat, so there’s that! But, I fancy Liverpool to drop points here. Wickham has picked up some form and with that I’m going to go for a draw.”
Liverpool lost to the Citizens on penalties in last Sunday’s League Cup final at Wembley.
The Reds host bitter rivals Manchester United at Anfield in the first leg of their Europa League last-16 clash on Thursday night.
