Mesut Ozil reacts on Twitter as Arsenal trio suffer injuries

Mesut Ozil takes to social media to wish Aaron Ramsey, Gabriel Paulista and Per Mertesacker quick recoveries

Mesut Ozil has taken to social media to wish Aaron Ramsey, Gabriel Paulista and Per Mertesacker speedy recoveries after the trio all went off injured during Arsenal’s 4-0 FA Cup win over Hull on Tuesday night.

Ramsey came on as a second-half substitute but was forced off before the final whistle after sustaining a suspected thigh injury.

Ramsey’s substitution came after Per Mertesacker went off with a head injury in the first half, and fellow defender Gabriel was brought off with a muscular problem after the break.

Arsene Wenger admitted that he was “shocked” by the spate of injuries after the game.

And Ozil was quick to send a message of support to his team-mates after the final whistle.

Ozil tweeted:

Arsenal took the lead in the 41st minute when Olivier Giroud latched on to David Meyler’s misplaced pass to fire home.

The French striker then fired in Theo Walcott’s cross to make it 2-0 in the 71st minute.

Walcott made it 3-0 shortly after, before adding further gloss to the scoreline in the 88th minute.
