Michael Owen reacts on Twitter as Arsenal and Tottenham both lose
Michael Owen is looking forward to Saturday's north London derby clash at White Hart Lane
Michael Owen has taken to social media to talk up the importance of Saturday’s north London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham after both clubs lost their Premier League games on Wednesday night.
Arsenal were pegged back and beaten 2-1 by Swansea City at Emirates Stadium as they suffered another blow to their Premier League title hopes following their loss at Manchester United last weekend.
Spurs, meanwhile, were undone by West Ham United as the Hammers claimed a battling 1-0 win at Upton Park to dent the Lilywhites’ title challenge.
The results make for a crucial north London derby clash between the two bitter rivals at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon.
Arsenal are currently third, three points behind second-placed Spurs and six adrift of leaders Leicester.
And former Liverpool striker Owen used his personal Twitter account to reveal his excitement ahead of Saturday’s crunch clash.
Owen tweeted on Wednesday night:
Saturday's North London Derby is HUGE. Live on BT Sport too! Hope Pochettino is in good spirits for when I interview him tomorrow!
