Michael Owen reacts to Arsenal win, comments on title race
Michael Owen admits that he was very impressed by Arsenal's performance at Everton on Saturday afternoon
Michael Owen has taken to social media to reveal that he was left very impressed by Arsenal’s performance at Everton in the wake of Saturday’s 2-0 win.
The Gunners bounced back from their miserable run of form by beating the Toffees in convincing fashion at Goodison Park to keep their Premier League title hopes alive thanks to goals from Danny Welbeck and Alex Iwobi.
Arsenal headed into the game on the back of their disappointing 3-1 defeat at Barcelona on Wednesday night which ended their Champions League hopes.
The north London side were also dumped out of the FA Cup by Watford last weekend, but were much improved as they thoroughly outplayed the Toffees on Saturday lunchtime.
And former Manchester United striker Owen was thoroughly impressed by what he saw from Arsenal at Goodison Park.
Owen tweeted:
Well impressed with Arsenal today. Huge 3 points for their chances of securing a top 4 spot and keeps them alive in the title race too.
