Pat Nevin: This Tottenham star is starting to look like good player
Pat Nevin runs the rule over Tottenham Hotspur forward Nacer Chadli
Pat Nevin says Nacer Chadli is starting to look like a Tottenham Hotspur player.
The Belgium international scored the north London side’s equaliser in a 2-1 victory over Swansea City in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Chadli has recently reclaimed his regular spot in Mauricio Pochettino’s side after a spell on the sidelines through injury.
The 26-year-old scored one goal in 24 Premier League games in his first season at White Hart Lane in the 2013/14 campaign.
However, former Chelsea midfielder Nevin believes Chadli is starting to come good for the north London outfit in the Premier League title race.
“Chadli – he looked like a player again,” Nevin told Newstalk.
“Chadli didn’t look like a player. He looked like a complete waste of money when he first came in.”
Chadli has scored three goals and has made two assists in 19 Premier League games for Pochettino’s side so far this season.
The Belgian forward finished in double figures last term after Chadli scored 11 times in 35 Premier League games.
