Adam Lallana has taken to social media to reveal his excitement as Liverpool prepare to take on Manchester United in their crunch Europa League clash on Thursday night.

The Reds head into the game looking to book their place in the quarter-finals of Europe’s second tier club competition and with a 2-0 lead from last week’s impressive first-leg win at Anfield.

Lallana will be hoping to feature for Jurgen Klopp’s men at Old Trafford, with the Reds having enjoyed a free weekend to prepare for the game.

The midfielder posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account on Thursday morning and wrote: “Big game tonight!! Focused on getting the win #YNWA”

The two sides have met in 166 domestic league games (United 67-55 ahead in terms of wins) and 18 times in various domestic cup competitions (United 11-7 ahead in victories).
