Erik Lamela says Tottenham Hotspur have made a good start to the week in training ahead of Thursday’s trip to Borussia Dortmund.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side face the Bundesliga giants in the first leg of their Europa League last-16 clash in Germany later this week.

Tottenham played out a thrilling 2-2 draw with bitter rivals Arsenal in Saturday’s north London derby at White Hart Lane.

Spurs are in second place in the Premier League table and five points behind leaders Leicester City in the title race.

And Lamela, who is Tottenham’s record signing following his move to north London from Roma in 2013, posted a message on Instagram ahead of their Europa League clash.

Lamela wrote: “Starting the week in good form!⚽”

The Argentina international has scored three goals and has made five assists in 26 Premier League games so far this season.
