Jack Wilshere lends his support to a charity close to his heart ahead of Arsenal's FA Cup quarter-final against Watford
Jack Wilshere may not be contributing much to Arsenal’s season on the pitch, but the England midfielder is doing his bit for society off it.
The Gunners playmaker has endured a frustrating season and hasn’t made an appearance for Arsene Wenger’s side due to injury.
Wilshere was forced to undergo surgery on a broken ankle last summer after he picked up a knock in Arsenal’s final training session ahead of their Community Shield triumph.
The 24-year-old midfielder is expected to return to action for Wenger’s side in the coming weeks as Arsenal look to get over the line in the Premier League title race.
And Wilshere appeared in high spirits with his girlfriend Andriani Michel at Muscular Distrophy’s UK charity ball on Thursday night.
Wilshere wrote on his Instagram page: “Muscular Dystrophy UK charity ball last night with @andriani_m”
Arsenal are looking to win the FA Cup for the third successive season.
