John Terry has taken to Instagram to express his bitter disappointment after the Chelsea defender confirmed that he will miss Wednesday night’s clash against Paris Saint-Germain.

The Blues skipper is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury and the 34-year-old missed Chelsea’s 2-1 loss to PSG in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash last month.

Terry captained Chelsea against the Ligue 1 champions in their European games at Stamford Bridge in 2014 and 2015.

The former England centre-half took to Instagram to post a heartfelt message expressing his disappointment ahead of Wednesday night’s last-16 clash at Stamford Bridge.

Terry wrote: “I’m gutted to be missing the PSG game. It’s so frustrating missing any game, but these big champions league nights at the bridge are unbelievable and it hurts as a player not to be involved. I have thrown everything at my injury trying to get back fit but sometimes you have to let the injury settle, and thankfully I’m on the mend and hope to be back soon. ⚽️ @chelseafc”

The Chelsea captain has missed the west London side’s last five games due to the hamstring injury.

The defending Premier League champions lost in Paris after goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani.
