Mesut Ozil has reassured Arsenal supporters that the Gunners are aware of the importance of Wednesday night’s clash against Swansea City.

The Gunners suffered a blow in their bid to win a first Premier League title since 2004 at the weekend.

Arsene Wenger’s side suffered a 3-2 defeat by a weakened Manchester United side at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

The north London side are in third place in the Premier League table and five points behind leaders Leicester City.

Arsenal’s club-record signing Ozil attempted to reassure concerned Gunners supporters on Instagram ahead of Wednesday night’s game against Swansea.

Ozil wrote: “No, nobody needs to explain us how important tomorrow’s match is! 👊 A look at the table is enough! ⚽ #COYG #AFCvSCFC #BPL #BeTheDifference #ACE16 @arsenal”

The Gunners played out a stalemate with Championship side Hull City in the FA Cup fifth round.

Enhanced odds: Get 3/1 on Arsenal to beat Swansea

Arsenal lost 2-0 to Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash last Tuesday.
