Roberto Firmino appeared in a determined mood on Tuesday night as he snapped a selfie after Liverpool’s final training session ahead of the visit of Manchester City.

The Reds will face Manuel Pellegrini’s side at Anfield in the Premier League on Wednesday just days after their disappointment at Wembley.

Philippe Coutinho cancelled out Fernandinho’s opener for City in the Capital One Cup showpiece to leave the score at 1-1 after 120 minutes.

However, Jurgen Klopp’s side lost 3-1 on penalties after Coutinho, Lucas Leiva and Adam Lallana missed their spot-kick attempts.

Firmino had a quiet afternoon by his high standards in 2016 as Liverpool failed to win a record ninth League Cup trophy.

However, the South American will hope to have more luck in Premier League on Wednesday night.
