Piers Morgan has taken to social media to praise Alex Iwobi’s performance after he was named man of the match in Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Everton on Saturday afternoon.
The north London side took the lead in the seventh minute on Merseyside when Danny Welbeck finished off a superb attack by rounding the goalkeeper and tapping home.
And 19-year-old Iwobi made it 2-0 with a cool finish after being put through on goal three minutes before half-time.
Iwobi has impressed in his recent performances for the north London club after being granted a place in the first-team by Arsene Wenger.
And celebrity Arsenal fan Morgan used his personal Twitter account to heap praise on the teenager after the game.
Morgan tweeted:

The former Daily Mirror editor went on to praise Arsenal’s overall performance after their win at Goodison Park.
He added:

Played with an intensity I haven't seen from us this year.
