Piers Morgan reacts to Arsenal’s 3-1 loss to Barcelona

Piers Morgan has a Twitter meltdown as Arsenal are dumped out of the Champions League

Piers Morgan has taken to social media to express his frustration after Arsenal were beaten 3-1 by Barcelona and dumped out of the Champions League.

Trailing 2-0 from the first leg in north London last month, the Gunners started brightly but the home side took the lead in the 18th minute when Neymar finished from close range.

January signing Mohamed Elneny smashed home an equaliser in the 51st minute but Barcelona were back in front 15 minutes later, when Luis Suarez hit a superb volley into the top corner.

Lionel Messi then added gloss to the scoreline with a dinked finish over David Ospina two minutes from time to wrap up a 5-1 aggregate win for Barcelona and book their place in the quarter-finals of Europe’s elite club competition.

Arsenal shareholder and celebrity fan Morgan has long been a critic of Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, and the former Daily Mirror editor used his personal Twitter account to vent his frustration.
