Piers Morgan rubbishes David Beckham's defence of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger
Piers Morgan has rubbished David Beckham’s defence of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid came out in defence of the Gunners boss after the north London side lost 2-1 to Watford in the FA Cup quarter-final at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Arsenal have only won four of their last 14 games ahead of Wednesday night’s trip to La Liga holders Barcelona in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 clash at Camp Nou.
Beckham, though, branded “disgraceful” Arsenal supporters that are calling for their most-successful manager to be sacked as “attention seekers”.
But outspoken Arsenal fan Morgan blasted Beckham’s defence of Wenger, calling the former LA Galaxy and England captain the world’s worst attention seeker.
Says the world's greatest living attention-seeker.
Shut it, Mr Beckham. https://t.co/ZMZGsjRAmQ— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) March 14, 2016
Arsenal are in third place in the Premier League table after a two-game winless run.
