Rob Jones says that a Tottenham title triumph this season would be good for the Premier League.

Spurs are among the favourites to win the top-flight crown this season and currently sit second in the table heading into the final nine games of the campaign.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men are five points behind leaders Leicester City in the wake of their 2-2 draw with Arsenal last weekend.

And former Liverpool and England defender Jones says it would be good for the league to have an underdog win the title.

Speaking exclusively to The Sport Review, Jones said: “It is a great chance for Spurs.

“Harry Kane is blasting them in after a slow start but he has come good. They’ll definitely be there [in the title race] as well.

“For the Premier League, it would be good to see an underdog win it.”

Tottenham are currently gearing up for their crunch Europa League last-16 first leg clash against Borussia Dortmund in Germany on Thursday night.
