Rob Jones offers Jurgen Klopp advice over big Liverpool signings
Rob Jones says Liverpool need to bring in players who can have an immediate impact in the summer
Jurgen Klopp needs to players that can have an immediate impact on his Liverpool squad in the summer transfer window, according to Rob Jones.
The Reds manager has endured a mixed start to his reign at Anfield after he was appointed as Brendan Rodgers’s successor following October’s Merseyside derby.
We don’t need to buy players that we think can make it. We need to buy players have done it at big clubs

Klopp signed Serbian teenager Marko Grujic in January from Red Star Belgrade, while the Liverpool boss brought in Steven Caulker on loan from Queens Park Rangers.
However, the former Borussia Dortmund manager is yet to make a marquee signing despite being linked with Mario Gotze and Patrick Emerick-Aubayemang in recent months.
Former Liverpool defender Jones warned the Reds boss that he can ill-afford to repeat the trend of recent summers and sign players who only have the potential to become world-class talents.
“We need bigger signings rather than young fringe players,” Jones told The Sport Review.
“We don’t need to buy players that we think can make it. We need to buy players have done it at big clubs and come to Liverpool and do well straightaway.”
