John Barnes states his prediction for Tottenham v Arsenal

John Barnes is backing Tottenham to heap further misery on Arsenal by beating the Gunners in Saturday’s north London derby clash at White Hart Lane.

The Gunners head into the game on the back of three successive defeats in all competitions and looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League after their disappointing 2-1 loss at the hands of Swansea City on Wednesday night.

Spurs are also looking to respond after the Lilywhites were beaten 1-0 by West Ham United at Upton Park in midweek.

Arsenal head into the game knowing that a win would move them level on points with their bitter local rivals heading into the final nine games of the season.

However, former Liverpool and England star Barnes feels that Tottenham are likely to secure a 2-1 victory over their neighbours on Saturday lunchtime.

Barnes wrote in his column for Titanbet: “It’s the game of the weekend, this one.

“The north London clubs are fighting it out for the title and there are some good players on show.

“But with the game being at White Hart Lane, I think that Tottenham will grab the win. Tight, but 2-1 with Alexis Sanchez scoring for Arsenal and two goals for Harry Kane for Spurs.”
