Watch: Harry Kane gets into boxing ring ahead of Tottenham v Dortmund
Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane enjoys a sparring session on Tuesday evening
Harry Kane has quickly established himself as a heavyweight Premier League striker over the past 18 months or so.
The England striker scored either side of half-time to help Mauricio Pochettino’s side secured a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa at Villa Park in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Kane’s brace against the league’s 20th-placed side took his tally to 19 goals in 30 top-flight appearances, level with Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.
And the 22-year-old opted for a sparring session with one of Tottenham’s coaches on Tuesday evening as the Spurs striker looked to get a competitive edge on his rivals.
Kane wrote on his Instagram page: “Extra training with the pads 👊 #boxing #training”
Kane will be hoping to start Tottenham’s second-leg clash against Borussia Dormund at White Hart Lane on Thursday night.
Spurs manager Pochettino started Kane from the bench in Germany as the Premier League side suffered a chastening 2-0 loss to the Bundesliga side in the Europa League last-16 clash.
